The headstone for Lance Ward was down and over grown with brush for many years. The area surrounding the large and heavy headstone was cleared and the stone reset on 10-19-2020. The article below which appeared in Jet Magazine, features Stevie Wonder singing a song written by Lance Ward.

Located in Section 1 Row 6 graves 47 and 48 this old monument, engraved in German, was found knocked down and in four pieces. With the foundation still intact the remaining pieces were reset and secured in place. The below translation is provided by Mary Lish.
