John Wills CW Musician

John Wills was a drummer with the 28 NY Infantry and then the 2nd DC Infantry. His headstone indicates “MUSIN”. He was born in New York to German parents, but lived and died here in Newark. In 1880 he is listed in the census as carpenter, but in 1900 he is shown to be a musician. Research by Wesley Shelton.
