Private Jacob L. Smollinger (aka Schmollinger) is buried in Section Y Lot 294 with his sister Mary (Schmollinger) Besson. Jacob was from Newark and served in WW I. He was shipped over to France in September 1918 as part of Medical Replacement Unit #24. Unfortunately, he became sick and died withing days of arriving in Europe and it is presumed…
