On April 14, 2025, Woodland Cemetery was notified that on behalf of the Prudential Community Grants Program our previously submitted grant application titled “Woodland Cemetery Beautification and Restoration Project” was approved. The scope of the works includes resetting headstones, clearing weed trees & vegetation, removing stumps and cleaning up trash. While some of the headstone work and trash cleanup is spread across the cemetery, the concentrated beautification area is along Rose Street. Pictured is the before and after of the work viewing easterly along Rose Street. The weed trees have been removed, chipped and disposed of offsite. Next is stump removal, trash removal, headstone resetting, grading and then grass seeding. Thank you, Prudential for this Community Beautification Grant.
