After being unmarked for 45 years, a veteran headstone was installed at the grave of Alfred M D’Alessandris. Pictured is Rosemarie D’Alessandris Boczon (with her husband Richard) at the grave of her Uncle Alfred M D’Alessandris. Alfred served in WWII as a Top Turret Gunner/Engineer on a B-52 bomber, was shot down, captured and held for 13 months as a POW Stalag XVII-B. Alfred’s brother Louis D’Alessandris worked at Woodland and bought these graves.
