Jazz “Quebec”

Ike Quebec Abrams, who was known as “Ike Quebec,” was a jazz
saxophonist of note. He recorded as a sideman and group leader for
major labels and recorded or performed with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald,
Benny Carter, Coleman Hawkins and Cab Calloway. He was also a talent
scout for Blue Note records and helped bring jazz legends Thelonious
Monk and Bud Powell to that label. Research by Guy Sterling.
