The Pauline Harrop headstone was found lying face down.

The foundation was crumbling concrete and when the headstone was lifted up the headstone was also found to be made of concrete. Usually a headstone is made of granite, although we do have some made of limestone or marble.

Next the concrete foundation was chipped clean and the headstone was lifted and cemented onto the foundation.

To secure and protect the headstone going forward a concrete collar was added. This also protects the headstone against being hit by the mower.

With the forms stripped and soil graded all around, this headstone should stay upright for a long time.
