On April 29, 2026, at the Awards Celebration held at Prudential Financial, 655 Broad Street, Newark, NJ, Woodland Cemetery received a second grant from “The Prudential Foundation” and the “Community Foundation of New Jersey”. The scope of this beautification grant includes resetting headstones, clearing weed trees & vegetation, removing stumps and cleaning up trash. While some of the headstone work, trash cleanup and weed tree removal is across the cemetery, a concentrated beautification area is along Rose Street. Woodland Cemetery proudly acknowledges the generous support of “The Prudential Foundation” through its Community Grants Program in partnership with the “Community Foundation of New Jersey” which helps make this work possible for the Newark community.
