Captain William F. Rothenburger served with Battery A of the 112th Heavy Field Artillery Regiment. This was a New Jersey National Guard Regiment formed in 1917 active during WW I, WWII, Korea and went to Iraq in 2003. The only active part of the unit today is stationed in Morristown. As a side bar, I had a friend Ryan Dolz who graduated from the Citadel and went to Iraq with this Regiment, but sadly was killed by an IED and is now buried in Arlington Cemetery.
